After a bit of brainstorming with one of my Sassy Sisters, we came up with the idea to create a basket for Red. I've actually made a Longaberger basket a couple of times, but decided to make a card shaped like a basket for Red!

Red was colored with my Copic Markers, cut out and layered on my basket card that I embellished with various dies and pearls.

Here's a peak at the basket card opened ...

This was so much FUN to make, and I'll be sharing all of the details on how I made the basket shaped card over in the SSD Group on Paper Craft Planet on Tuesday, May 28th.

Educational Team Gifts ...

Good evening! Just popping in to share the last of the gifts I've made for Katie's Educational Team. There are three assistant who work very closely with Katie on a daily basis so their gifts are the same.

I always try and have Katie be a part of making the gift(s) when possible. So I recently ordered some SRM Tubes and picked up some Bath Salts, and had Katie fill them up with a funnel and measuring spoon. This was an interesting project last week. Katie had a great time, but gave up after filling 5 of the tubes so I filled the last one.

I wanted a way to package the tubes and a friend gave me instructions on how to make these Test Tube Holders. The instructions called for 1-1/4" punch, but I didn't have one so I improvised by using my Nestabilities Circle Die instead.

I added stickers from SRM's We've Got Your Border - Thanks around the caps to secure the tubes for travelling. Wrapped some Pink Sorbet & Caribbean Twine around the tubes, and tied them into bows. Then I used the left over Border Strips and some additional Border Strips to create gift tags.

I created the instructions, shown below, to add to the bottom portion of the tube holder. The Lavender Flower picture is courtesy of a Google search, and the instructions are from the Bath Salts Packaging.

Final step will be to wrap up the gifts for travelling to school on Tuesday since Katie's last full day of school is Wednesday.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

One of the Boys ...

It's Friday, and the start of a long weekend for many in the US to Celebrate Memorial Day by honoring and thanking our servicemen for all they have done for us.

QKR Stampede Challenge #40
One for the Boys

This weeks challenge is all about the boys so I chose to work with the adorable Ball Hat Boy (digi16602) for today's card.  I colored him with my Copic Markers, cut him out, and layered him on my background based on an old sketch from Stamp with Fun Challenge Blog.

Hop on over to the QKR Stampede Blog and check out the creations by the rest of the QKR Designers, and then share your creations with us this week. Remember, you don't have to use a QKR Stamp to play along.

Until next ... Enjoy!

Congrats you did it!

Celebrate the New Grad

This weeks challenge is all about Celebrating the New Grad! There are several Sassy Graduation Images available in the SSD Store, and I picked Chelsea's Graduation for today cards. Chelsea was colored with my Copic Markers and framed with some new Memory Box Dies I recently purchased. I had some self adhesive ribbon in my stash that said "congratulations", and SRM Black Stitches Stickers which were perfect for the background. The sentiment is from the Future So Bright stamp set by Avocado Arts. Added some bling in the corners to finish off the design.

The design for my card is based on last weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch #198.

If you requested Graduation Sassy for our Monthly Progressive Challenge over in our Sassy Studios PCP Group, then you are all set with an image to create a card for this weeks DTBST Challenge. If you haven't requested the image yet, you still have time, and you can enter your creation to both challenges for a chance to win some Sassy Images!

Speaking of Sassy Images ... the Sneak Peaks have started over at the Sassy Studio Designs Blog for the NEW Release Blog Hop this Saturday, May 25th. Head on over to the SSD Blog to leave your guess(es) for a chance to WIN a NEW Sassy Image before you can buy it. Then remember to come back on Saturday for the NEW Release Blog Hop, and then join us at the SSD Party Blog at 7:00 PM PST to chat about the NEW Release!

Good morning & Happy Tuesday. I created a Mini Journal for the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today, but first I have some awesome news to share. I submitted my Stamp Annie*Thing Masucline Note Cards from last week to The Friday Mashup Challenge #109, and my set was the winning submission! I'm a Rock Star!

I was so honored to receive this badge from The Friday Mashup team.

Now on to the Mini Journal I mentioned above. I still needed to make my DT Project for the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog, and I also needed one more year-end gift for my daughter's bus driver. I knew that when I saw this Tutorial on how to make a Mini Journal over on the Lawn Fawn Blog that it would be a quick and easy gift to make. Er goes my inspiration for what to make for the bus driver.

Mini Journal Closed

The pattern in my design is similar to the one I created for the Simply Sweet Note Cards that I created in early April. The cherry is from the Our Lil' Cupcake stamp set.

Mini Journal Open

Entire cover of Mini Journal

Now I switched up the Design a bit by creating my own DP, and by using a Velcro Tab to close my Journal vs. using twine as in the Tutorial.

This was so easy to create that I think I will be making one for myself to put in my purse. It will be perfect for jotting down notes and ideas as they come to mind.

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to the Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps we have to offer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Happy Birthday ...

***************************************

Good morning! I hope each and every one of you had a marvelous weekend, and your week is full of crafty goodness. I know that school is ending soon for our kids, and this weeks Challenge over at Love to Create is all about kids.

(create a project for the kids)

Our Sponsors this weeks are Di's Downloads2CuteInk,
and there's one more. LTC is providing a Gift Certificate to an on-line store.

I created a CAS card using the adorable Butterfly Bear from 2CuteInk. the Butterfly Bear was colored with my Copic Markers, a White Gelly Roll Pen, and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen. The sentiment and butterfly dies are from A Muse Studio. To finish off the design I add some pearls to the center of the butterflies, and added a trail and antenna's with my Clear Star Pen.

There are several little ones that I know who have big birthday's coming, and this adorable Butterfly Bear was perfect for this weeks Challenge. I can also see my daughter giving this card to her grandmother, sister-in-law, or one of her friends. Change out the sentiment, and you will have a marvelous card for your child to give to her teacher. Hmm ... maybe I should have gone that direction! LOL! So many options to choose from.

My design today is based on CAS(E) this Sketch #26.

The rest of the LTC Designers did an amazing job creating projects to inspire. I hope that you will join us, and share your "Something for the Kids" project with us over at The Love to Create Challenge Blog this week.

Challenges entered ... Sentimental Sundays Challenge #155, Clean & Simple

Until next time ... Enjoy!
