Sami Stamps Christmas Mermaids Release ...

Good morning and Happy Friday.

Sami Stamps has a Release every 1st, 3rd & 5th Friday of the month
and this weeks release is truly amazing. I am sharing my project
featuring one of the Christmas Mermaids today!

This beautiful stamp is called Christmas Lights Mermaid.
Copic Markers were used to color the lovely image. I was going for
sliver and blue color theme, but couldn't find any silver paper
in my stash so I settled for the grey and blue. It turned out
beautifully and I love the Winter design of this card.

with a touch of Glossy Accents on the lights
Copic 0.3 Cool Gray & Cobalt Blue for dots

Thankful For You ...

Good evening! Today I woke up to 3-below zero wind chills
in Northern Illinois. A little early for this kind of weather
here, and makes me want to leave the state for Winter.
Lots of wishful thinking happening here! LOL!

Now back to my post ... Thankful For You ...
There are so many things that I am Thankful For! Topping the chart
is my family. My amazing husband who supports me regardless
of what I do, or don't do ... like clean the house ... because I'm
busy crafting. LOL! Next up are my children who bring me so
much joy, and I can't leave out my adorable grandson. :D

This beauty is called Thankful For you Betty by Simply Betty Stamps.
Betty, Artist and Owner of SBS challenged her SBS FB Fan Group
to create a project with this beauty and there were a couple of
rules for the Challenge.
1 - Add pleats to her skirt and bustle
2 - Color Combination has to be Traditional Fall Colors
3 - You must use the sentiment and frame it
4 - No digital coloring or creating

I think I covered all of the requirements. She was super FUN to color
and I truly enjoyed the challenge Betty.

My design was inspired by the Feeling Sketchy Challenge #108.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R22 R20 (skin)

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Distress Ink for the sky background, dies from MFT
and Memory Box along with lots of Stickles.

Side view to show the layers.

Inside, which still needs a sentiment added.

Sami Stamps Lovely Fall Friends Reminder ...

Good morning and Happy Friday.

Sami Stamps has a Release every 1st, 3rd & 5th Friday of the month
and this week we are showcasing some of the Lovely Fall Friends again!

This beautiful stamp is called Lovely Native Fairy.
Copic Markers were used to color the lovely image. I chose to go
Monochromatic for this beauty. My card is for Thanksgiving and
will be sent to a dear friend. Distress ink was applied to the
background and along the edges. I printed two (2) copies
to create a 3D effect on her wings. The sentiment is a
freebie I got from Create with TLC, and the final
touch was a couple of enamel dots.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 (skin/wings)
E23, E25, E37, E29, E79 (dress/hair); E08 (flowers)

Winter Princess ...

Good afternoon! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today.
A little later than normal, as we had a change in schedules.
Our "Theme" this month is Christmas Creations in Non-Traditional Colors.

This beauty is called Winter Princess, and she is one of the many Rubber Stamps
available at Whimsy Stamps in the Art by Miran Collection.

Copic Markers were used to color this beauty. I actually stamped her
twice and paper-pieced her to add some dimension, along
with the Silver Enamel Dots and layered snowflakes.

Creating this holiday card reminds me that Christmas is approaching fast
and I really need to get my holiday cards done, sooner than later.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 (skin)
BV01, C3, C5, B60 (hair); B000, B00, B01, B02, B04 (dress)
Y21, Y23, Y36, Y28 (shawl); BV08 (background)

A whole bunch of AMAZING, SUPER TALENTED ladies have done some
UNBELIEVABLE projects for you to see, they have all been mailed out
to Betty so she should get some AMAZING mail ... but we thought

20-Winks Fairy Note card ...

This weeks Challenge is "Anything Goes"
and our Sponsor
 is ...
Rick St. Dennis

I love Rick St. Dennis images, and was super excited when he became
one of our Sponsors. I got to choose the image called 20-Winks Fairy
to work with. Copic Markers were used to color this beauty, and
Distress Ink was applied to give it a vintage feel. Once done I
layered the colored image on an Woodgrain embossed
background that I added Distress Ink to, with the final
touch of adding enamel dots to the corners.

Make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog for all of the
challenge details, and to be inspired by the amazing projects
created by the rest of the designers made.
